On February 29th, 2020, following an investigation and hearing, the Ethics Committee of the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society concluded that Rose Ann Vasta had engaged in a prolonged inappropriate relationship with a patient, consisting of sexual boundary violations and professional misconduct. The Ethics Committee and the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society imposed as its binding sanction that Rose Ann Vasta is permanently expelled from its professional body and forbidden from engaging in any psychoanalytic activity.
