Dr. Sklar has been a consulting psychoanalyst to the NHS, for over 20 years. In this capacity, he has worked analytically with regressed patients and in groups with clinicians treating regressed patients. Having worked with Enid Balint, he used Michael Balint’s approach called Balint Groups in helping sensitize clinicians to underlying dynamics when working with patients. Sklar will be presenting his work in the hospital milieu over his long career working in the NHS. His insights will be of interest to all who work with more regressed or so-called difficult-to-treat patients.
Other participants in the program will be David Heilbrunn, Endre Koritar, James Fabian, and David Kealy.
